Jerusalem
Across the silent waves of Deadsea Where I stood, to look beyond Somewhere near the horizon The sun was going down and The haze was taking over Spreading softly over the mountainous Range of sandy rocky heights I knew the colors of sun were same As seen by Abraham, Moses and Jesus For it was setting down over the holy land And merely a few miles lied in between Across which my footsteps would have Had felt the sand and stones and rocks The fragrance of all the Prophets, who Remained related to this sacred soil But some wishes are not being granted Some salams remain unpaid, only a kiss which was sent through the air As an evidence of my devotion.
